The Body Revive Diet is a 28-day, whole food program designed to support your body in carrying out its natural processes for optimal health. This program aims to get you back on track for feeling better, having more energy, and living your best life – focusing on detoxification.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Body Revive program before you get started.
The Body Revive Detox Approach
Over time, as a result of simply living in the world that we do, toxins build up in your body. Toxins can come from a variety of sources, such as the environment, various lifestyle choices (e.g. personal habits, products that you use, food that you eat), and physiological stressors.
These toxins can ultimately compromise how your body functions, negatively impacting your health. Even more frustrating is that you can’t see them, and won’t necessarily know that they’re taking a toll on your body until you start feeling crummy.
The good news is that your liver is a powerful organ at the core of natural detoxification, working around the clock to rid your body of dangerous substances. Toxins are excreted through your lungs, skin, kidneys, and bowels.
However, we’re so bombarded by external toxins that they can accumulate quickly if we don’t regularly practice things to counteract them. If you’ve ever experienced feelings of sluggishness, bloating, or a lack of motivation, toxin buildup in your brain, fat, and tissues may be to blame.
The Body Revive Nutrition Philosophy
In order to support your body’s natural detox system adequately, you need high quality macronutrients and specific micronutrients, like vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients that provide targeted nutritional support.
Supporting your body’s natural processes means you will be able to better regulate your hormone and fluid balance, provide the needed energy to your cells, promote a higher functioning metabolism, and even improve the function of your brain.
If your diet is lacking in the nutrients needed to fuel your natural detoxification system, you can feel even worse. Think of the Body Revive Diet as an approach to revive your nutrition and therefore optimize your function in your everyday life. It’s designed to reset your nutrient balance, your detox system, and get you on track to eating and feeling your best.

Body Revive Diet Three Steps
The Body Revive Diet has three main steps, which will help you eliminate junk from your lifestyle, support and nourish your body, and revive your energy. These steps are divided over 28 days and outlined in more detail below.
Step 1. Initial Clearing (Days 1-6): This phase is about eliminating foods from the General Foods category (a list of foods to choose and avoid provided with the program) that are not supportive of your health. These include refined and added sugars, artificial flavorings, colorings, and sweeteners, caffeinated beverages, gluten-containing grains, processed meats and shellfish, eggs and dairy products, and hidden allergens. This is often the most challenging stage and largest adjustment for people.
Step 2. Metabolic Detoxification (Days 7-13): During this phase, you will push your body to naturally detoxify. This phase incorporates only foods from the following categories: fish or legumes, oils and fats, beverages, spices and condiments, and approved fruits and vegetables (outlined in my Core Fruits and Vegetables list provided with the program).
Step 3. Reintroduction (Days 14-28): This phase reintroduces foods from the General Foods category, starting with white rice, certain vegetables, nuts and seeds, and then meat, poultry, and seafood.
Once these three steps are completed, beginning on Day 29 and beyond, you will continue slowly introducing foods one at a time. It’s important to allow your body around 24 to 48 hours to monitor for any intolerances.
Keep a food journal during this time and record detailed information about how foods are tolerated, how you feel, and any reactions or questions you have during this time. This is a great tool to refer back to should you ever want to review your progress or need to refer back to it for any reason.
Tips for Body Revive Success
The Body Revive Diet comes with a number of detailed food lists, sample menus, shopping lists, and tips for eating during each phase, so you know exactly how to implement the program and can do it with confidence.
I recommend keeping the following things in mind to help support your success:
- You shouldn’t be hungry on this program. This is not a deprivation diet and there are no caloric restrictions.
- Don’t go cold turkey on caffeine, if you regularly use this substance. Before starting the program, you should gradually decrease your caffeinated beverage consumption at a comfortable rate.
- Make sure you’re experiencing a daily bowel movement on this program.
- Keep your hydration up, ideally drinking at least two quarts (64 ounces) of plain water every day.
- Continue taking dietary supplements that you wish to take, such as multivitamins, omega-3 fatty acids, probiotics, and Vitamin D. Be sure to choose ones that have been third-party tested for purity, quality, and safety.
- Listen to your body throughout the program, especially as you make significant dietary changes between steps. This may mean reducing intensity or frequency of exercise, and prioritizing rest and rejuvenation whenever needed.
